What this site is
klmetro.org is an independent guide to Kuala Lumpur’s LRT, MRT and Monorail. It is not the website of Prasarana or Rapid KL, and it is not affiliated with them: we do not sell tickets or top up cards and we cannot handle a complaint or a refund.
What we do is put in one place a page for every line and station, fares and passes, timetables, the map and a route planner. The site is funded by advertising.
What the October 2026 review found
On October 11, 2026 we checked the whole site against Prasarana’s own timetable data, and the network had to be rebuilt.
Stations. Our station lists had stations that do not exist — a “Kepong Sentral” on the MRT, a “Kampung Damansara Damai” and a “USJ 19” — and were missing real ones: Kota Damansara, Surian, Mutiara Damansara, Bandar Utama and TTDI on the Kajang Line, Kampung Batu on the Putrajaya Line and SS 18 on the Kelana Jaya Line. Ten Putrajaya Line stations were filed under the Kajang Line. All of it now follows the official data, and the pages that should never have existed redirect to the right place.
The Shah Alam Line, open since 29 June 2026, was missing altogether. It now has its own line page and its 20 stations.
Fares. We listed a My100 pass that no longer exists and a tourist card that never did. Visitors use Rapid Kembara; My50 is for Malaysians; and the gates take Touch ’n Go cards and tokens, not bank cards.
Malay. The Malay edition had been machine-translated badly enough to call the MRT “Encik”. It has been rewritten.
What is live and what is not
Nothing on this site is live. The status board shows whether each line is inside its timetabled hours; for disruptions, follow Rapid KL.
Where each fact comes from
Lines, stations, order, first and last trains and frequencies: Prasarana’s timetable data published on data.gov.my, October 2026.
Fares and passes: Prasarana announcements as reported by the Malaysian press.
The map: a diagram drawn by us from that data; positions are approximate.
When we get it wrong
We fix it and we say what was fixed — this page is the example. If something does not add up, write to [email protected].
Who is behind this site
This site is run by the team at GoRandom, a small group based in the Basque Country in Spain who do two things that go together better than they sound: travel, and build websites.
Kuala Lumpur is not yet one of the cities we have set foot in — we are up to twenty and we move slowly. We would rather say so than pretend otherwise: what you read here does not come from our memories, it comes from what the operator publishes and from checking work we can show you.
The other half of what we know how to do is web development, and this site is the excuse to put the two together. We do not leave it sitting there: every fare and every timetable carries its source and the date we checked it, and they get revised when the operator changes something. The last thorough revision was on October 11, 2026, when every line, station and timetable was rebuilt from Prasarana’s own timetable data.

He decides what goes up, checks the data before it does, and answers the email. If you find a fare that has expired or a timetable that no longer holds, there is a specific person to write to.
