How does the card work?
Touch ‘n Go (TnG) is Malaysia’s flagship contactless payment card and the de-facto fare card for the KL Metro. You can pay any single fare on the LRT Kelana Jaya, LRT Ampang/Sri Petaling, MRT Kajang, MRT Putrajaya and KL Monorail simply by tapping in at the entry gate and tapping out at the exit gate — the system calculates the distance and deducts the fare automatically.
In addition, the MyRapid Pulse app lets you use your phone instead of a card by scanning a QR code at the gate. Apple Pay and Google Pay contactless bank cards are also accepted on every gate of the LRT, MRT, Monorail and BRT.

RM 50/month unlimited LRT, MRT, Monorail and Rapid KL buses. Loaded onto a Touch ‘n Go card.

RM 100/month: My50 plus KTM Komuter and MRT feeder buses.
Single-journey token
Disposable plastic token bought at the station vending machines (cash or card).
Bank contactless cards
Apple Pay, Google Pay and Visa/Mastercard contactless work directly on the gate — no app needed.
How to buy and reload
Buy a card
- Go to any station counter — every LRT, MRT and Monorail station sells the Touch ‘n Go card directly.
- Pay RM 10 for the card plus RM 5 as a refundable deposit, then top it up at the counter or a vending machine.
- Alternatively download the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app and create an account — no physical card needed.
Reload your card
- Station top-up kiosks (cash or contactless) — every LRT/MRT/Monorail station.
- The Touch ‘n Go eWallet app — reload from any Malaysian bank, FPX, or credit card.
- 7-Eleven, Petronas, KK Mart, Family Mart counters across the Klang Valley.
- ATM machines from major Malaysian banks (Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank etc.).

The pass is loaded onto a registered Touch ‘n Go card. Buy it once a month from any LRT/MRT/Monorail station counter, the MyRapid Pulse app or selected Touch ‘n Go reload locations.
Frequently asked questions
No — you can pay with any contactless bank card (Visa/Mastercard), Apple Pay or Google Pay directly at the gate. A physical Touch ‘n Go card or the eWallet app is recommended only if you want the My50/My100 unlimited pass.
Return the card to any Touch ‘n Go service counter (KL Sentral, KLIA, several malls) with valid ID. The RM 5 deposit and any remaining balance are refunded in cash.
Yes — Touch ‘n Go is the same card used on all Malaysian highway tolls (PLUS, ELITE, LDP, etc.) and most paid car parks. It is one of the most useful cards to own when visiting KL.
Yes — the Visit Malaysia Card (sold at KL Sentral and KLIA) gives 7 days of unlimited LRT/MRT/Mono rides for RM 50, similar to My50 but valid only on Rapid KL urban rail (no buses).
The gate will not open at exit. Reload at the station top-up machine to clear the negative balance, then tap again to leave. The kiosk is right next to the gates.
